Article Marketing Gets You Everywhere

I hated writing articles.  Seriously.  It was tough enough to have content on my web site; to also submit NEW content to article directories.  But everything i read told me it was the right way to go.

There is also a right way and a not-so-right way to write articles.  Duh.  No one really shares this information; in my case it took awhile to wake up to the fact that I needed to get people to not only use my articles, but create enough interest that they would see the link to my site and click through for a visit.

The area to do your marketing is called a resource box.  The ways to use it are not in 100% agreement by authors; some feel it should be a continuation of the article (sort of ‘what’s in it for me?’, the reader), while others think the author should explain why they are know about a particular topic.

Eventually, I made article marketing work for me.  My favorite site is EzineArticles.com, and Google likes it too; a lot of the top organic search results are from this site.  Christopher Knight is the brains behind it and seems like a great guy (follow him on Twitter).

soldier reading letter clipartHere are my latest stats:  I have only written 40 articles for them in the last several months, but have had over 9000 views and several hundred articles re-printed (with my author Bio included).  This is somewhat time consuming, but do you see the power of having one-time work pay you back over and over?

There are also excellent sites that will distribute your articles to hundreds of other sites.  Only use the best ones, though.
