Is It Time for a New Website?

Here’s the problem: Sales are down and you are missing out on what should be a profitable time of the year. You talked about it with an associate and were told to pay more for advertising, and your neighbor’s cousin poked around your site for you, but no improvement yet.

You feel the grinding angst of a stalled business. A dilemma that gets you thinking you should chuck everything and start fresh with a new site and domain name that will start pulling in traffic. With the right keywords peppered throughout the site, you could almost do this yourself. Right?

Umm, no. The reasons you do NOT want to do this are many. When you already have a website, it can be analyzed for its performance. The quality and quantity of linking sites can be reviewed. A new site has zero relevancy or history, so to Google you really are starting over.

A PPC campaign can bring quicker results, but SEO (search engine optimization) is a process. The goal of an effective SEO campaign is to provide appropriate and navigable content to the user, relevant search results to search engines, and traffic and sales for the website owner.

As with any business, you want a carefully formulated plan when having an online presence. Think about your strategy. If it were as easy as throwing keywords around, …?

So, unless your website was truly detrimental to your business and you know that because it was professionally analyzed, hold off on a total do-over; get professional guidance.
