As website owners, we all want to know how visitors found our site, what they do on the site, and…if they (go ahead and say it , we are hoping for it) complete an order, ask for more information, make a comment on a blog. In other words, you got the conversion you were trying to get. Marketing services for Monterey can easily add 4Q to their arsenal of analytics tools.
Google Analytics is great, but it can’t tell you why people are on your site, just what keyword they typed to be brought to your page. I found a free customer service survey by a company named 4Q, which stands for 4 Questions. It is extremely simple to set up and implement, and I did indeed get helpful results that even affected my ad campaigns because I knew what was important to website visitors.
4Q is a ‘polite’ screen that shows up when a visitor comes to your site. I was worried at first that it might seem like a pop-up and turn people away but it was pretty well accepted ( it is a polite opaque screen; you can still see you are at the same page). People are actually getting more used to this sort of thing.
$Q is a permission-based, on exit survey. Visitors are asked if they would mind completing a brief survey at the end of their time on your site; if they say ‘no’, no problem. If they agree, the survey with questions you choose is shown to them. The data is collected by 4Q; you simply log onto your free account and review the stats.
If you can copy & paste code, it’s a snap to use. Otherwise have your webmaster pop it in for you.
Suspicious? This software is being used by Fortune 500 companies. It will have more robust capabilities when it comes with a price tag, but this free tool is a no-brainer.
